Job Summary
The Senior .NET Engineer contributes to the development, coding, and enhancement of servers, server-side applications, and databases. These elements, when integrated with front-end code, ensure a smooth, functional experience for the end-user. This position is responsible for training, mentoring, and guiding back-end team members on industry best practices, while consistently delivering high-quality releases. This position reports directly to the Lead Back End Engineer.
This position is full-time and fully remote.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Writing scalable, efficient and secure code.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs.
- Write automated tests for quality assurance.
- Monitor and optimize performance of applications.
- Continuously improve application performance and responsiveness.
- Provide code documentation and other inputs to technical documents.
- Participate in code reviews to enforce best practices.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues.
- Communicate frequently with the front-end team, product managers and designers to collaborate on application design.
- Conceptualize and implement solutions for data storage and systems architecture.
- Assist in leading, training, and ensuring the successful delivery of features.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- Seven or more years of back end engineering experience.
- Deep knowledge of object-oriented design and programming techniques.
- Experienced in creating effective, automated software tests.
- Experience with .NET core is a bonus, but not required.
- Designing for and deploying to cloud infrastructure such as Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of design principles for delivering highly available and highly scalable web systems (we may experience 100,000+ concurrent users).
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Proficiency in Git source control.
- Knowledge of client-side JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React or Vue is a plus, but not required.

Compensation & Perks
- Base annual salary range of $135,000 - $155,000, commensurate with experience.
