We usually respond within two weeks
At TixTrack, we support our clients by creating superior ticketing solutions for performing arts and cultural institutions through a combination of modern technology, beautifully simple design, and the art of listening.
Founded in Los Angeles, we are a small, but growing team of hardworking, highly motivated individuals. Our core product, Nliven, is a real-time platform that helps venues manage ticket sales efficiently while creating a more engaging buying experience for customers. With a presence across both the US and UK, and trusted by key players on Broadway and the West End, we are passionate about our work and driven to innovate with our customers to solve current and future challenges with new solutions.
We are transforming our engineering culture to align with an Empowered Teams model, embracing Continuous Delivery and focusing on building capabilities to drive higher quality, reliability, and speed.
Even with a highly dispersed, largely remote workforce, we stay connected through our Slack channels, virtual events and regional meetups. Come see how we "role".
About The Role
The Staff Software Engineer, Partners & Integrations is a key technical leader and mentor in our engineering organization. This role owns the systems that turn Nliven from a product into a platform- the external-facing APIs, webhooks, and integrations that partners and third-party systems build on.
This role requires deep expertise in .NET Core and strong full-stack range across modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) to build scalable, high-performance applications. It also requires a deep appreciation for the principles of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps to ensure our systems- and the APIs others depend on- are stable, observable, and rapidly deployable.
As a full-spectrum engineer, you care about more than code- you care about customers, business outcomes, security, reliability, and architecture as part of your own work. You think in terms of contracts and consumers: every API you ship is a long-lived promise to the teams and partners who build on it. Beyond technical execution, this position is a force multiplier; you will mentor engineers, help the team adopt Continuous Delivery practices, and raise the bar on engineering best practices. You play a pivotal role in system design, risk assessment, and deployment strategies while partnering with Product, Design, and Engineering Leadership to deliver solutions as part of a cross-functional, empowered product team.
As Nliven connects to a growing ecosystem of partners and third-party systems- payments, CRM, marketing, identity, and more- you will define how we expose and consume those integrations, and how we make them reliable and easy to build on.
This position reports to an Engineering Manager and is expected to take ownership of large-scale projects, solve complex problems and elevate the skills and standards of all engineers.
This position is full-time and fully remote. Candidates must be located in California, Oregon, Colorado, Texas, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Louisiana, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Jersey, New York, or Connecticut. Candidates may be required to travel and/or meet up in-person from time to time. There may also be an expectation in the future for hybrid work in a local office.
About You
You have designed and operated external-facing APIs and integration platforms that other teams and external partners build on, and you understand what makes an API program durable: clear contracts, thoughtful versioning, reliable webhooks, idempotency, rate limiting, and a great experience for the developers who consume it.
You have a strong background in .NET Core and modern frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue, with a deep understanding of both backend and frontend development.
You don't just write code; you mentor, assist, and collaborate with your peers to elevate the entire team's technical output and skill level.
You thrive on the challenge of modernizing an established product and are skilled at designing and building independent services to enable team autonomy and faster delivery.
You have experience taking ownership of large-scale projects, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
You treat reliability, performance, and security as product quality- the things customers and partners experience directly- and you help set and meet SLOs for the systems and APIs you build.
You are comfortable partnering with Product, Design, and Engineering Leadership to deliver technical solutions that align with business goals as a member of an Empowered Product Team.
What You'll Do
Own the API & Integrations Platform: Define and steward Nliven's external-facing APIs and integration points- contracts, versioning, authentication and authorization, webhooks and event delivery, idempotency, rate limiting, and observability- so partners and third-party systems can build on us safely and reliably.
Drive Architectural Modernization: Actively contribute to the decoupling of our monolithic application, designing and implementing new service-oriented architectures that enable independent deployment and team autonomy.
Elevate Quality and Reliability: Introduce and champion SRE principles, SLOs, and automated quality gates into our development lifecycle to ensure high system reliability- quality is the whole team's responsibility, and you help make that real.
Be a Force Multiplier for the Team: Serve as a senior technical leader and mentor for engineers, setting technical direction through teaching, reviewing, and pairing rather than top-down mandate.
Lead Third-Party Integrations: Architect and deliver integrations with external partners (payments, CRM, marketing, identity, partner systems), making them reliable and easy for other engineers to build on.
Collaborate with Product and Design teams from discovery onward to develop solutions that align with business objectives and deliver high customer value.
Lead the technical design and architecture of new features and products, making critical decisions about technology stack, system integrations, and architectural patterns.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system designs, API specifications, and architectural diagrams- with a high bar for external-facing developer documentation.
Lead and participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to engineering best practices and supporting our internal open-source model of code stewardship.
Develop and enforce coding standards, best practices, and design principles across the engineering team.
Champion shipping in small, complete vertical slices- supported by trunk-based development and feature flags- over large, risky releases.
Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and optimize system reliability.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact and adoption.
Contribute to architectural discussions and long-term technical roadmaps.
Solve complex technical challenges related to performance, scalability, and security.
Other Duties
Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities, that are required of the employee for the job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Eight or more years of full stack software development in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
Demonstrated experience designing, building, and operating external-facing APIs and/or an integrations platform- including API contracts, versioning, authentication, and webhooks.
Strong back-end experience (.NET Core).
Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue), with strong front end fundamentals (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript).
Deep understanding of SQL databases and data modeling best practices.
Familiarity with Agile framework and methodologies.
A comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts.
Essential Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts clearly- including to external developer and partner audiences.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong time management and multitasking skills, balancing multiple projects and priorities.
